I haven't just consulted -- I've lead teams that produce results.  I've had to own the outcomes of the work we have done.  That operational experience and approach is a unique attribute you won't commonly find with many hospital-based consultants.

I started my healthcare career in EMS which has afforded me an appreciation of the patient/provider relationship, a fund of clinical knowledge that makes my engagement relationships more effective, and a must-do/can't fail dogma -- there is no one else to call for help after you've called 911.

Anesthesia Operations Leader for National Physician Services 

  • Led HCA's internal consulting team who assessed coverage needs of HCA's >175 hospitals & directly negotiated with national, regional and local anesthesia practices in outsourced anesthesia models.

  • Launched anesthesia employment model at more than 30 of HCA's hospitals between 2019 - 2023; many with anesthesia resident and SRNA training programs.

  • Vice President of a 6-state anesthesia operations team of Envision Healthcare providing outsourced anesthesia coverage to client hospitals, health systems and ASCs.  

 

Revenue Cycle Management Executive

  • Vice President of Envision's RCM front-end (>1 million anesthetics annually).

  • Oversaw relationship of all outsourced anesthesia vendors (e.g., Change Healthcare, McKesson, regional RCM vendors).

 

Change Management

  • Developed real-time operational & clinical dashboards to help provide feedback loops to clinical and business leaders on utilization and productivity of anesthesia teams.

  • Led more than 20 operational and/or RCM transitions over the past decade -- typically with provider groups of 150+ Physicians/APPs.

​

  • Launched Anesthesia Information Management Systems ("AIMS"), inhoused RCM, and optimized data-reporting for more predictable results.
